The Aurora Revelare VISIO audiovisual production combines the scientific explanation of northern lights with their folk historical stories. The immersive experience takes the viewer onto a trip following a boy living in Northern Finland who listens to stories about northern lights told by his father and grandfather. The stories include both scientific facts and ancient beliefs of the firefox and fires in the sky.

The story takes the viewer from the classroom to the warmth of a sauna. To Hailuoto’s wintery sceneries, and all the way up to the northern lights in the skies. Along the way, you will find out how different cultures have explained the aurora and how the phenomenon has connected generations.

The Aurora Revelare production is more than just a visual spectacle; it is a journey into the mysteries of northern skies, where science and stories blend into an unforgettable experience.

The production is designed together with OAMK media students and video production company NTRNZ. The duration is about 25 minutes.

VISIO is Tiima’s new audiovisual concept where the viewer is placed in the middle of the events. A laser monitoring system and the 16 x 9 -meter wall and ceiling projections with hyper precise 8K-3D resolution create a revolutionary space and reality.

VISIO’s technical implementation is based on the Austrian Science Centre Ars Electronica’s Deep Space concept.
